Too many days at sea
"
My partner got sick on board and had a terrible cough so we decided two days before the end of the cruise to go to the doctor on board. We did four: Puerto Madrid Peninsula Valdes Wildlife Sanctuary, Punta Arenas Magdalena Island Penguin Reserve, Ushuaia Wildlife Cruise and Tierra del Fuego National Park and Falkland Islands Gentoo Penguins at Newsans Farm.

Disappointed beyond words that two port calls were modified to SEA DAYS! Our Ulvik and Faroe Island port calls were cancelled without explanation two days after final payment! We selected this itinerary because it included the Faroe Islands. So disappointed! The ship was packed! The garden cafe was so crowded at breakfast with many single passengers taking up tables for 4 people, finding a

The good, bad and ugly. Two ports cancelled 6 weeks before sailing…. Replaced with days at sea with no explanation. Given $100 on board credit to compensate however for an $8500 cruise…. $100 is laughable. I realize fine print on cruise contract says itinerary subject to change but the whole thing is ridiculous. Service very good, entertainment good, food just okay …. Even in specialty

This is our fourth cruise with NCL. We started out loving them but trust has become an issue. First of all, they cancelled three ports AFTER final payment was made several months before the cruise. This included the Faroe Islands which was a bucket list port for many people. This seems to happen a lot with NCL. They did add one port. Still, the itinerary was terrific. Second, when we arrived in

Wow where can I start with this review. We recently cruised on the Norwegian Star on the 10 Day British Isles cruise leaving from Southampton. To say this cruise was a disappointment would be an understatement. Although I will admit that the people who work on this cruise are amazing. We had no issues with them at all.It would be the cruise management for Norwegian that would be the

Totally horrendous. Food always cold in the main restaurant, we're were told that mobility scooters weighing below 100lb would be allowed on the tenders when we booked, when we went to board the tender, we were told that motorised mobility scooters were not allowed. Even though our scooter weighed only 32lb. I challenged them and they showed me a letter that we should have received on

The ship layout was fine with one glaring exception. The Cruise Next "desk" was not a desk but three tiny round tables in the hallway above the atrium. The lines were in the way of people walking by and made things very inconvenient. The entertainment was excellent. The staff members were all friendly and helpful. There were several aspects of the cruise, however that make me rate it as less

As a 40year old who has cruised multiple cruise lines, my first experience on a NCL boat makes me consider selling my NCL stock because as a shareholder I don’t believe NCL will be able to entice the next generation of cruisers with the way the operations are run. •La Rochelle PortoWe had a private tour scheduled for La Rochelle that we missed 1hr of the 2.5hr tour because the shuttle

This was our 17th cruise with NCL. We felt that the overall quality of food and service has decreased. The Star is in good shape. But when the Star is fully booked it gets crowded in every respect. By the pool, in the main restaurants and especially in the garden cafe. For us though, the quality of food was better in the garden cafe than in the main Restaurants. Le Bistro and La Cucina are not

My husband and i found a fantastic last minute deal on the norwegian star for a buenos aires to antarctica cruise during feb./mar. 2024 (14-nights). being a last minute deal, a family suite was only ~$25 more per night than a balcony room, so we couldn’t pass that up. this was our first time cruising in in a suite on any line. we sailed on the norwegian star last year in a balcony room, and on

While we had a wonderful time and felt safe on board, there were a number of areas the cruise line missed the mark:1. We paid for an upgraded dinner at Teppenyaki restaurant. Of the four people in our party, there was a problem with the meals. Raw chicken was served and two people were served things they repeatedly stated they were allergic to. We even booked it for the first sitting so the
