judas의 screaming과 defenders의 관계랑 비슷한 듯. 전작의 연장선. 이 정도면 전작과 비슷한 수준이라고 생각. 이게 사실 블랙새바스와 오지의 조합에서 오는 70년대 우울함과는 확실히다르긴 하지만 디오의 역량이 빗어낸 아주 굵직한 음악을 만들어낸다. 디오처럼 중음역이 두꺼운 보컬을 솔직히 못봤다. 이런 투툼한 음색과 더불어 미드템포의 무거움은 일품이다 처음에는 코멘트를 남겼다가 지우고 리뷰로 급히 써봅니다 일단 2010년 보너스 라이브 시디는 Live at Hammersmith Odeon 이라는 live 앨범을 같이 첨부하여 내놓았고
1번시디는 이때부터 리마스터링이 되었으며

Black Sabbath와 Ronnie James Dio가 두번째 작업한 앨범 Mob Rules이다. 이 앨범에서 오리지널 드러머 Bill Ward가 빠지고 Carmine Appice의 동생인 Vinnie Appice가 가입했다. 전작인 Heaven And Hell이 워낙 명반인지라 이 앨범이 가려지는 점도 있지만 개인적으로 아주 뛰어난 앫범이라고 보지는 않는다. 전작에서 앨범 전체에 느껴지던 그런 분위기도 없고 곡들이 한곡씩은 꽤 좋지만 앨범 전체적으로 들었을 때 좀 중구난방이어서 깬다는 느낌이 들기도 한다. 하지만 아주 뛰어나지 않다는 것은 블랙새버스의 기준에서의 평가이며 앨범 자체는 상당한 수작이다. Turn Up The Night는 전작의 Neon Knight 같은 곡으로 아주 경쾌하게 본작을 연다. The Sign Of The Southern Cross는 이 앨범에서 가장 좋아하는 곡인데 디오의 신비로운 보컬이 곡과 잘 들어맞는다. E5150은 EVIL을 뜻한다고 하는데 전자적이면서도 뭔가 튀어나올거 같은 느낌이 멋진 연주곡이다. 이 곡과 연결곡인 타이틀곡 The Mob Rules는 이 앨범에서 두번쨰로 좋아하는 곡으로, 신나면서도 디오의 보컬이 불을 뿜는 강력한 곡이다. Falling Off the Edge of The World 와 Over And Over는 전작의 Lonely Is The Word 같은 분위기의 곡인데 Lonely Is The Word와 비슷하면서도 좀 떨어진다는 느낌이다. 이 앨범 이후에 비니와 디오가 나

전작 Heaven And Hell이 오지 시절의 Paranoid의 해당하는 음반이라고 볼 수 있다면, 이 Mob Rules란 작품은 오지 시절의 Master Of Reality에 해당하는 음반이라고 볼 수 있다. 그냥 듣기에는 Heaven And Hell이나 Paranoid가 더 듣기 좋을지는 몰라도, Mob Rules나 Master Of Reality가 좀 더 블랙사바스다운 개성을 잘 살려주고 있으니까... 블랙사바스다운 개성이란 무엇일까? 처음 들었을 때는 잘 귀에 꽃히지 않는 지루함을 느끼게 하지만, 어둡고 우울하고 묵직한 분위기를 통해서 청자를 심연속으로 빠트리는 매력, 그것이 바로 블랙사바스다운 개성이다. 오지 시절 블랙사바스의 후반기 작품들이 망한 이유가 무엇인가? 70년대 후반 블랙사바스는 특유의 매력과 개성을 잃어갔다. 점차 블랙사바스는 자신들의 장기인, 특유의 묵직하고 어둡고 우울한 음악 대신에 Never Say Die같은 신나고 경쾌하고 밝은 음악들만 내기 시작한 것이다. 그러나, 오지 탈퇴 이후 가입한 디오는, 70년대 후반에 새로 변화됬던 밴드의 사운드 - 즉, 보다 밝고 덜 묵직한 음악 - 와 너무나도 잘 어울렸다. 그리고 이는 Heaven And Hell이란 명반의 탄생으로 이어졌다. 그러나 오지시절 골수팬들 상당수가 Heaven And Hell을 결코 높게 평가하지 않았는데, 그 이유는 Heaven And Hell이 예전에 오지

Probabily a better work than Heaven And Hell, I don't know. But the power of the tracks "Country Girl" (the best Sabbath riff for me), "The Sign of the Southern Cross", "Falling of the Edge of the World" makes the record out of this world.

Great album, maybe even better than Heaven And Hell? Songmaterial is mostly high quality, so is mixing. Only slight uneveness leaves this album behind Paranoid, when we're talking about best Sabbath albums. Anyway great job!

"Mob Rules" is second Black Sabbath release with Ronnie James Dio and the magic is still alive and true. Musically, the band is going for faster numbers and tighter song arrangement, although there is no lack of Sabbath's trademark gloom and doom. Although this album is not quite as influencial as it's predecessor, it contains all the same elements that made the first album great.

헤비메탈 역사상 불후의 명반인 전작 Heaven and Hell에는 미치지 못하지만, 그래도 꽤 괜찮은 앨범. Falling Off the Edge of the World은 숨겨진 명곡이며 Over and over같은 곡은 토니 아이오미의 블루지한 기타 사운드가 훌륭함.

블랙사바스의 음악은 오지 특유의 보이스가 아니면 아예 안될 줄 알았는데, 디오가 노래하는 블랙사바스도 오지 시절 못지 않게 멋지네요. 블랙사바스의 그 특유의 냄새, 단단한 리프들과 아이덴티티는 잘 유지하면서도, 디오의 힘찬 보이스에 잘 맞아 떨어지는 곡들입니다. Rainbow의 음악에서 느껴지던, 동양적 신비한 색채 물씬나는 디오의 발라드도 일품입니다.

Fantastic release for Sabbath, and quite underrated. I find this better than anything they'd done prior. Heavier, and doomier at times too, the riffs are dark and sinister, the vocals deliver.

묵진한 기타 리프 위에 디오의 풍성한 보컬이 깔리는 것으로 이렇게 신나는 음악이 탄생하다니.... 전작과 마찬가지로 헤비메탈의 진수라 할 만하겠다.

Ronnie James Dio era Black Sabbath record number two; this time featuring Vinnie Appice who would later join DIO. Definitely weaker than Heaven And Hell. But, Tony Iommi's songwriting skill is a force not to be trifled with, because the guy will bombard you with amazing songs once again.
